Weekly Planet Art Pieces (Week 1)
Weekly Planet Art Pieces (Week 1)
Hello guys I am back, I will be uploading two or three pieces that I have personally made each week so you guys can see my progress and can give me any advice. This is the first week that I will be doing this and this is the first time I tried doing this kind of art so I am not that good yet but I think I did good for my first try. Right down below you will see the first piece that I made (my first try).
Moon with a simple background and stars
As you can see right above, this was my first try and I have shown a few people this piece and they have said that it was pretty good for a first try. For this painting I simply used black and white spray paint, a small bucket as a stencil, some old magazines and I made this painting on poster paper.
- Spray some black and white unto a small space on the poster paper
- While the paint is still wet, wrinkle up a piece of the magazine and lay it over wet paint then remove it.
- This should make sure that it gives the moon some texture and give it a planet type pattern
- OPTIONAL; if you want to make a half moon or give your moon a shadow and give it some depth add this step; Add some black on half of the moon in an arcing motion to give the monn a sphere like shape.
- Carefully put the stencil over the small area of paint
- Spray black all over the rest of the piece
- Now for the stars, you can either spray some small bursts of white unto the air and the paint will come down on the piece or you can spray some white on your index finger and flick it hard it the piece to give it those stars
- Carefully remove the stencil and it should reveal your awesome moon
- At the end of every piece make sure that you sign your piece to make sure that people know it was made by you
Now here is another piece that I made in my first week of trying this type of art.
For this piece I wanted to try something a bit different, I wanted to try something with color so I decided to add some red to my piece. This piece was basically the same thing as the moon but it included some red spray paint with it. It's the same process and it doesn't take that much time to complete. It took me about 10 minutes to complete this piece.
These two pieces were my favorite because for the first piece which was the half moon piece it was simply the first piece I ever made and as for the second piece I just really liked how it turned out because even though it looks like a really simple piece, I really liked the texture on the planet and how it turned out overall with the ring around the planet.
Well that's it for this week, I will see you next week with some new cool pieces.
